In every case, we will look for existing, best-in-breed applications as the main ingredient and then customize to meet the particular needs of your business. If something doesn’t exist, we have been very successful building applications on top of databases.

Website Hosting/Email
We offer web and email hosting services.
Our managed hosting company is no secret. We proudly pay for managed hosting services from a company called Rackspace. Rackspace is a recognized leader in the business. They pride themselves, first and foremost, on “fanatical support”. Based upon our previous experiences, this is ABSOLUTELY critical and is a core belief of Ten Talents. Rackspace provides us with a secured facility that contains redundant power, fire protection, physically secured facilities, and multiple high-speed (gigabit speeds) to the Internet. Our server contains the following “foundational services”:
- LINUX as the operating system
- Apache as the webserver
- mySQL as the primary database
- PHP as the primary dynamic page generation service
- JAVA/Tomcat: another dynamic page generation capability

Website “Design”
Website design (what we call look and feel) is a by product of what we do. We pride ourselves on simple, easy on the eyes, and functional websites. We encourage you to take a look at some of our reference sites to get a sense of our capabilities here.
Some websites we have done from scratch and some we have leveraged the expertise of another source. We have found several sites on the Internet that offer professionally done “templates” that can be customized to meet our clients’ needs. These templates can be obtained for a fraction of the price of a custom created visual presentation and can be customized with your logo, colors, and images. The majority of our customers are typically very happy with a professionally designed template. This is a key area where we save our clients money!
When there is a requirement for something totally unique and created from scratch, we can deliver that as well.

Search Engine Optimization
Some customers end up paying hundreds to thousands of dollars and a hefty recurring revenue stream to try to craft their websites in a way that comes up high in search engines and directories. In our opinion, there are some basic things we can do – without charging an arm and a leg – to help customers to whom this is important.
Web solutions need to be designed in such a way as they are “acceptable” to search engines. Search engines can sense a web site that is trying to SPAM them. That is right, SPAM also applies to websites. SPAM is a way to try to manipulate spiders (software the search engines use to crawl and index a website) into artificially inflating their ranking.
Our recommendation on this is to let us do some basic things in terms of design, keyword selection, and search engine/directory submission BEFORE you go off and pay to have this done. We have had fairly good success with these basic services.
